Engine No CXAR108. Frame NO. MH101

This is a very rare machine and one of only 11 pukka racing 350 2 valve machines built for the 1937 TT. The frame is the next number to the Show Bike in Paul Ingham’s excellent Excelsior book. It is one of only 3 or 4 built into the new style frame with the long racing tank and solid rear sub frame and would probably have been used by the factory for testing before release. Although fitted with a later hairpin spring head, it comes with the original coil spring bronze head. Brought to WA in 1938 by the Australian dealer, it was the bike used to set a 350 State speed record. Correct engine, gearbox and frame numbers.

All mechanicals have been rebuilt. A very rare and desirable machine. More photos available on request

SOLD $30,000
