Extremely rare and desirable overhead cam OK Supreme “Lighthouse” engine dating from the early 1930s. When this engine first appeared at the 1930 TT, it was light years ahead of its competitors in specification and style. Features include short stroke (70mm x 64.5mm), narrow valve angles, barrel sunk deeply into crankcases and down draft inlet tract. The unique design of the cam arrangement is exclusive to OK Supreme. The cams are fitted to the vertical shaft and short horizontal pushers activate the rockers. Very few of these engines were ever manufactured and even fewer survive. perhaps only a couple of dozen at most. Production was discontinued at the end of 1933. This engine came from New Zealand where OK Supreme had considerable sales success. The crankcases appear to be for grass track racing which OK Supreme supported and was popular in New Zealand.¬†Will need full restoration.
