1939 NORTON INTERNATIONAL

1939 NORTON INTERNATIONAL

By reputation, the finest 500 sporting single of its day, the Inter was a byword for handling and speed, albeit at the expense of being covered in oil from the exposed valves. Norton never did enclose their valves even when valve spring technology had rendered exposed springs unnecessary. They didnt need to. Getting covered in oil was worn like a badge. Good examples are now quite hard to find and if you do stumble across one, expect to hand over around $40k.
